Matthew L. Bohn

Chief of Staff

Matthew L. Bohn is Chief of Staff at the Millennium Challenge Corporation where he works with the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer on implementation, operational, policy and human capital issues. Previously, Mr. Bohn was the Resident Country Director in Nicaragua where he was responsible for working with the Government of Nicaragua to implement a $175 million development program. He was one of the first Directors deployed by MCC to establish, manage, and supervise MCC’s in-country presence, including all matters related to governance, financial management, procurement, program implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Mr. Bohn joined MCC early in the start-up phase to manage Latin America country relationships and helped define MCC’s due diligence and compact development models.

Prior to joining MCC in July of 2004, Mr. Bohn spent nearly 10 years working in private equity investment, management consulting, and entrepreneurial management roles at General Atlantic, Booz | Allen | Hamilton, and a professional services start-up company. He is fluent in Spanish and has lived or worked in various countries of Latin America and Asia.

Mr. Bohn has a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University's Kennedy Center for International Studies and a Master’s Degree from George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.
