Compact Projects
Within each Compact are projects chosen by the country through a rigorous, open process which are targeted at reducing poverty and stimulating economic growth.
Development of Agricultural Productivity and Value-Added Project
- Provides farmer and enterprise training in commercial agriculture;
- Improves tenure security for land users;
- Promotes irrigation development;
- Improves post harvest handling and value chain services;
- Improves credit services; and
- Rehabilitates secondary/feeder roads.
Transportation Infrastructure Development Project
- Upgrades sections of Highway N1;
- Improves main roads; and
- Improves Lake Volta ferry services.
Rural Services Development Project
- Supports community services;
- Strengthens the procurement capacity of the public sector;and
- Provides finanical services to rural areas.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Collects quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate the impact of compact projects.
Program Administration and Oversight
Costs include implementing unit’s administrative expenses for procurement, fiscal agents, and audit functions.
