Gina Porto
Senior Advisor
Gina Porto is the Senior Advisor at the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Ms. Porto works with the Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff on various implementation, operational, policy, congressional, and human capital issues. Her additional responsibilities include overseeing CEO scheduling, correspondence, and briefings, as well as overseeing MCC’s Investment Committee.
Prior to this assignment, Ms. Porto served as a Senior International Attorney in MCC’s Office of the General Counsel, where she worked primarily on MCC’s programs in Georgia, El Salvador, Honduras, and Tanzania. In this capacity, Ms. Porto assisted with negotiating, drafting, executing and implementing Compacts and supplemental agreements, as well as monitoring recipient countries’ compliance with funding requirements and restrictions.
Prior to joining MCC, Ms. Porto was a transactional attorney in the private sector. As a member of the Project Finance Group in the New York office of the firm formerly known as Dewey Ballantine LLP, Ms. Porto represented institutional lenders and investors in connection with the development, financing, construction, and operation of domestic and international infrastructure projects, primarily in the energy sector. Ms. Porto also worked in the Energy Group of the Washington, DC office of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, where she represented energy trading companies in transactions involving the purchase, sale, storage, exchange, inventory financing, marine transportation, and processing of oil, natural gas and other commodities
Ms. Porto received her B.A. in American Studies magna cum laude from Fordham University and her J.D. cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Fordham University School of Law.
