Projected Results by End of Compact

The Honduras Compact aims to achieve the results below by the completion of the Compact in September 2010:

• Increase the incomes of beneficiaries by $80 million;
• Engage 7,340 farmers in the production of high-value horticulture crops, and
• 11,830 hectares yielding high-value crops plus 203 additional hectares under irrigation.

Impact Evaluation Framework

In addition to careful monitoring of implementation performance and measurement of preliminary results, two independent evaluations are underway, which will assess what would have happened in the absence of the MCC investments and measure the gains in incomes that can be attributed specifically to MCC-funded activities.
