Projected Results by End of Compact

The Morocco Compact aims to achieve the results below by the end of the compact in August 2013:

  • Increase average income of farmers engaged in extension of olive, almond and fig production from about $1,068 to $1,235 in rain-fed extension zones and from $1,811 to $2,453 in irrigated areas, and revenue of farmers producing dates in the oasis zones from $2,226 to $3,118;
  • Increase net annual revenue of boats accessing the new landing sites from about $19,140 to $31,370, and annual boat revenue for those entering revamped ports from $26,860 to $28,780, and annual income of mobile fishermen from $3,586 to $4,880;
  • Increase the average Income of mono-artisan potters from $849 to $1499 per month.  Raise average wages and profits of small and medium pottery workshops to $2,843 per month Increase the number of tourist visiting Fez from 341,076 to 391,998.  Increase the survival rate of new businesses from 76% to 81%.
