Senegal Outreach Event

On Wednesday, September 16, 2009, MCC hosted a public outreach event entitled “MCC and Senegal,” which was the first public presentation of the newly signed MCA Compact with the Republic of Senegal. The $540 million Compact is focused on reducing poverty and increasing economic growth by unlocking the country’s agricultural productivity, rehabilitating major national roads, and investing in strategic irrigation and water resources management. The session was held in conjunction with the Honorable Donald Payne and the Congressional Black Caucus and took place in the Rayburn House Office Building.
