MCC CEO Webinar: WASH - Linking Global Health and Global Economies

Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) CEO Sean Cairncross joined this Concordia-hosted webinar to discuss MCC’s investments in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Africa. The conversation was moderated by Dr. Kennedy Odede, Founder and CEO of Shining Hope for Communities, and framing marks were provided by Ambassador Paula Dobriansky, Former Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs.

  • Zambia Compact

    The Zambia Compact invested in water supply, sanitation and drainage infrastructure with the goal of decreasing the incidence of water-related diseases, generating time savings for households and businesses, and mitigating business and residential flood losses.

  • Cabo Verde Compact II

    This five-year compact with Cape Verde is intended to increase household incomes by reforming two sectors identified as current constraints to economic growth: the water and sanitation sector and the land management sector.

    Recognizing that Jordan is among the world’s driest countries, Jordanians have been dramatically transforming their access to clean water and sanitation through a five year grant of $275 million provided to Jordan by the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
