Sierra Leone Compact Signing Ceremony

MCC will host a ceremony to sign our the $480 million Sierra Leone Compact, which includes an additional $14.2 million contribution from the Government of Sierra Leone, for a total of $494 million. The compact will increase the availability of affordable and reliable electricity in the country. The compact is designed to strengthen the foundation of a reliable electricity sector through investments in transmission and distribution infrastructure, development of a strong enabling environment for independent power producers, and capacity building support for the utilities and key sector institutions.
