WASHINGTON, D.C., December 5, 2018 – Today, on the National Day of Mourning in honor of the late President George H.W. Bush, the Millennium Challenge Corporation wishes to express our deepest condolences to the Bush family.
On this day of mourning, we reflect back on his exemplary life and his dedicated service to the American people. From serving in World War II and the House of Representatives, to leading the Central Intelligence Agency, to the Vice Presidency and Presidency, President Bush was a leader who worked to make the world more peaceful and stable. His humility, compassion, and integrity will be greatly missed, but his legacy will be celebrated. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bush family.
