Future fisheries evaluations should prioritize robust measurement for fish quality. The evaluation relied on retrospective ex-post data from fishers on perceived changes in fish quality over time. Fishers reported that fish quality improved after the MCC intervention, but this measure is subject to a variety of biases that could have influenced the results. Given the centrality of this outcome in the project objective, future fisheries evaluations should identify an improved measurement approach for fish quality to ensure validity of the findings.
