Kenya Proposed Threshold Program

In December 2019, the MCC Board of Directors selected Kenya as eligible to develop a second threshold program. Kenya subsequently strengthened its performance on the Control of Corruption indicator, passing the indicator and overall scorecard for the first time in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021. The country continued to pass the scorecard in FY 2022.

The proposed Kenya Threshold Program seeks to assist the Government of Kenya in addressing the limited urban connectivity. The lack of urban connectivity undermines productivity in Nairobi, a critical constraint to inclusive economic growth.
