Côte d’Ivoire Compact Signing Ceremony
Côte d’Ivoire Minister of Economy and Finance Adama Koné and Acting MCC CEO Jonathan Nash sign a $525 million compact on Nov. 7, 2017 at the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C.
Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of African Affairs Stephanie Sullivan and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Acting CEO Jonathan Nash welcomed Côte d’Ivoire President Alassane Ouattara in the Exhibit Hall of of the U.S. Department of State for the signing of a new $524.7 million MCC compact with Côte d’Ivoire on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.
The ceremony formalized MCC’s Côte d’Ivoire Compact to spur economic growth and private investment by supporting the country’s long-term drive to diversify its economy through investments in the education and transport sectors. The Government of Côte d’Ivoire will contribute an additional $22 million to support the compact program.
