Millennium Challenge Corporation Chief Executive Officer Dana J. Hyde will testify before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday, March 17 at 10 a.m.
Hyde will testify alongside Ambassador Alfonso E. Lenhardt, the acting Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. The hearing, chaired by Congressman Ed Royce, will address President Obama's fiscal year 2016 budget request for the two agencies.
President Obama’s budget request seeks $1.25 billion for MCC. The requested funds would increase the agency’s impact by allowing MCC to expand its poverty-reduction partnerships in key countries and regions, enhance its leadership on data and transparency and create trade and investment opportunities for the private sector.
MCC will live-tweet the event at @MCCgov, and the Committee will broadcast the hearing live here.
