Statement from MCC CEO Dana J. Hyde on the Passing of Michael Elliott

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Michael Elliott. Michael has been a tremendous leader and champion for global development. During his five years leading the ONE campaign, Michael worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those in the poorest nations and engage new souls in the fight to reduce global poverty. At his core, he was a journalist and a storyteller, an advocate for the voiceless.  His passion, wit, and charm drew you in and made you smile. Michael’s many contributions to development will not be forgotten, and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife Emma and two children, Roxana and Gina.
