A delegation from MCC, comprised of Kyeh Kim, Principal Deputy VP, Africa; Tom Kelly, Acting VP Department of Policy and Evaluation; and Jason Small, Managing Director, Africa, visited Lesotho to discuss the development of an MCC compact.
MCC's Board of Directors approved three countries as eligible to develop compact proposals, six countries to continue developing compact proposals and two countries to develop Threshold Programs. The Board also approved a Threshold Program with Guatemala.
At its quarterly meeting Dec. 10, the Millennium Challenge Corporation Board of Directors voted to make Nepal, Mongolia and the Philippines eligible for new compacts and approved Guatemala's Threshold Program.
Millennium Challenge Corporation CEO Daniel W. Yohannes is traveling to South Africa from May 7-10 to attend meetings around the World Economic Forum and to Lesotho from May 12-15 to mark the closeout of MCC’s Lesotho development program.
