Better contextual understanding of the exposure period required to measure agriculture-related behavior change outcomes. There are standard practices in M&E to collect data at certain points across projects; however, data collection timing should coincide with a well-defined exposure period for the particular sector to best capture outcomes. Data collection, too early, may not showcase outcomes. In case of project timeline changes, data collection timelines should also be updated to reflect the expected exposure period. MCC is addressing this by contextualizing the evaluation approach and tailoring data collection to the appropriate exposure period and by bringing in sector expertise early in evaluation design.
