To avoid disruptions to student instruction, plans should be made for teacher coverage during trainings, and alternative venues for classrooms should be identified prior to construction. Teachers were at trainings instead of in the classroom, and some schools had to vacate their classrooms during construction. Early in the program, MCC should plan for teacher absences and coverage and find alternative locations for instruction during classroom/school construction. If trainings occur during weekends or summer break, MCC should consider teacher compensation for this additional work.
