Programs should consider sustainability of funding for recurrent expenses and supplies. Because the TVET Activity (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) was added to the program design later than the other components of the Education Project, design was rushed. As a result, there was not a clear linkage in the logic chain from training institutions to provision of teachers, equipment, and on-the-job learning. MCC was not able to address the lack of funding for recurrent expenses and supplies, such as food for the culinary programs. For greater success and sustainability with future TVET activities, MCC should address the funding mechanisms for these expenses early on in program design.
